Project Neo Arcadia
For this project, I am collaborating as a hobby with a team of seven people, divided into three core roles: 3D artists/modelers, developers, and writers. In our free time, we are jointly developing a science fiction game set in a completely original space universe.
The foundation of the project is an extensive fantasy universe created by one of our team members. This world, full of space, mystery, and lore, is being translated by the team into an interactive gaming experience. The writers develop the story and world-building, the 3D artists and modelers bring the universe to life visually, and together with another developer, I am responsible for the technical foundation of the game.
As a developer, I work on creating gameplay mechanics, systems, and the overall structure of the game. Through close collaboration across all disciplines, we ensure that visuals, story, and gameplay come together to form a cohesive experience.
Purpose of the Project Neo Arcadia
The goal is to translate an existing, rich fictional world into a playable game. I also hope to learn a great deal about everything involved in creating a game, from design and storytelling to technical development and implementation.
Current Status of the Project
The project is currently in the early development phase. At this stage, the focus is on refining the concept, the world, and the story, as well as defining the technical and creative direction of the game. Ideas are being translated into initial designs, prototypes, and basic systems.
